My brother and I just spent a week in Maryland painting my little summer cottage up there. Now it looks so cute, I can’t wait to go up for a writing retreat. I wrote the first draft of Celebrity Status up there two summers ago, in less than a week! It’s amazing how much writing I can get done when it’s just me, my dog and my computer (with crappy internet so I can’t procrastinate on social media).
Here are the before, in progress and after pictures of the place:

FINISHED!!!
Isn’t it adorable? I’m so pleased with how it came out!
Kassandra, what a transformation! Looks great! And so does your website. I like it. Glad your back! 🙂
Thanks, Karen! It turned out even better than I had hoped.
You did a nice job! In the pics, the color looks white, but it’s pale mint, right? What a great shade for a summer retreat.
Thanks, Pat! The color in the pics kind of depends on what computer you’re on. On my desktop, they look green but on my laptop, they look white. But yes, the color is mint green.
Oh, cute! Mint chocolate chip ice-cream, very inspiring! LOL, for some reason, I thought you were painting the inside. This looks like much more work, great job.
It was a lot of work, Shannon! But all went smoothly and I’m really pleased with it. That is what I’m telling people who haven’t seen the pics yet, that it looks like mint chocolate chip ice cream with chocolate syrup on top! 🙂
VERY cute. I did like the yellow, but the just off-white/mint is so clean and crisp, I like that too. And so many windows, must be a glorious place to write. Almost like being outside, only fewer bugs.
Hey, Beverly, thanks for stopping by! I liked the yellow too but it was old and chalky–quite shabby looking. I have a beautiful view of our wooded lawn from the window just behind my computer!!
I blog on the http://misteriopress.com site (on mental health issues and various other stuff). When you get a chance, stop on over and check it out. I totally enjoy your blog, although I don’t always comment.
